IMI Design is an engineering design and BIM consultancy based in Goa, India, working with clients around the world. We are a division of Infra Marine Innovations LLP.
What we do
We design the engineering inside buildings: the structure that holds them up, the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems that make them work, the fire protection that keeps people safe, and the pre-engineered steel buildings used for industry. We bring all of it together in BIM, so every discipline is checked against the others before construction starts.
Why we work in BIM
On most projects, the expensive problems are found on site: a beam where a duct needs to go, a sprinkler main with nowhere to run, a drain without enough fall. Every one of those was visible in the design, if someone had put the drawings together. Modelling the whole building in Revit lets us find and fix them on screen, which is cheaper for our clients and calmer for their contractors.
How we work with you
We agree a design basis with you before drawing anything: the codes, loads and systems we'll use. Each stage ends with a drawing issue you can review, and our clients follow their project, drawings and approvals in our online project portal.

We study the architecture and site, agree the codes, loads and services, and confirm scope and fee.

Design & calculations
Heat loads, electrical loads, pipe sizing, fire water demand and structural analysis, with schematics for your review.

BIM & clash coordination
All disciplines in one model. Clashes are reported, resolved and signed off before drawings are issued.

Good-for-construction set
Coordinated drawings, schedules, BOQ and specifications, plus approval and NOC drawings where needed.
- Step 5
Site support & as-builts
Answers to site queries, shop drawing reviews, and the final as-built model and drawings at handover.

Our design studio is at Karma Point in Vasco da Gama, Goa, India. We work with clients around the world, delivering designs, BIM models and drawing sets online to the codes and standards each project requires, and we visit sites for projects in India.
